Greencroft Communities is seeking an energetic Director of Giving to provide strategic leadership to develop, propose, promote, execute and coordinate fund raising and related programs for Greencroft Communities Foundation regional and local markets served. Greencroft Communities is a faith based, non-profit provider of senior housing, services, and programs throughout northern Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.  The organization has grown in its 15-year history as a system and its affiliates with up to 90+ years of history, meeting the needs of today’s older adults.  In keeping with its Mennonite values and high standards of care, Greencroft Communities is committed to creating dynamic communities that embrace the creativity, contributions, and challenges of aging for all.  With annual revenue of $90 million, the organization is home to over 2,200 residents and employs a dedicated team of over 1,300 staff members.  Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Giving will lead and create fundraising strategies that increase support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources.  Event planning, grant writing, and budgeting responsibilities are included in the work of this position.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required and previous grant writing experience desired.
  • Graduate schooling and CFRE preferred.
  • Five to ten years experience in fund raising management involving 501c (3)s strongly preferred.
